Hello and welcome to the best well-kept secret in all of Southern Illinois, my hometown, Granite City.
Truly, my hometown is a hidden treasure chest of potential and opportunities
and I encourage you to become a part of the excitement. Whether you seek
excellent opportunities for education, recreation, religion, business or culture,
we have it all. Also, being located just six miles from St. Louis with easy access
to major highways and interstates, we are just a river's width away from all of
the professional sports, shopping, recreational and cultural amenities that this
great American city has to offer.
Even with all of these great qualities, however, our finest gem is the quality of
our citizens who, according to the United Way, are among the most giving
people in the nation.
In short, if a high quality of life is what you seek, then Granite City is the place
for you and your family. But, with as much promise as my hometown has, I
cannot guarantee that it will remain a secret for much longer.
