Sex Offenders

The Sex offender unit, a section within the Detective Division was established for the investigation and enforcement of child sex offender registration laws and community notification of serious and high risk offenders. This section of the division completes initial registrations for those required to register, conducts follow-up investigations concerning those sex offenders who are non-compliant with their duty to register, verifies addresses that sex offenders provide as their address, tracks and monitors child sex offenders' activities as it pertains to the communities needs regarding public notification.

The Granite City Police Department provides a list for public viewing of those required to register with local law enforcement as a registered child sex offender. Anyone wishing to view the list may do so Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the records section of the Granite City Police Department.

Child Sex Offender registrations with the Granite City Police Department are currently made by appointment only. Those needing to register should contact Detective Robert Patrich at 618-876-9027 Ext. 188.
