GCPD Mission Statement

We, the members of the Granite City Police Department dedicate ourselves to the service of the citizens within our community. We endeavor to treat all people in a fair and impartial manner. Our commitment to the police effort of protecting life and property is foremost in our daily responsibilities. This department will strive to improve the quality of life in Granite City by building a strong relationship with the community. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of conduct and ethics knowing it is an honor and privilege to wear the badge of a law enforcement officer.
