Zero-Percent Deferred Loan Program

In cooperation with the City of Granite City CDBG funding ability, Mayor Ed Hagnauer supports the Rehab Loan Program. The program is designed to assist low/moderate income families to make necessary emergency repairs up to $7,000 through a 0% deferred payment loan.

The Rehab Loan program will provide a qualified homeowner up to $7,000 for  repairs to their home. The loan has no monthly payments and no interest throughout the course of the loan. A lien is placed on the property and is only  collected upon the sale of said property. 

Program Qualifications

All applicants must meet the following criteria to qualify: The property must be a single family owner-occupied dwelling and be in the corporate city limits of Granite City.  Contract for deed properties and mobile homes are not eligible.

Applicants must meet the following income limits provided by the Department of Housing and Urban Development:
