CHARTER LINEUP CHANGE AFFECTS CHANNEL 10 BROADCAST
On March 16th, 2010, Charter Communications moved Channel 10 and other public, education, and goverment channels from the Basic/Expanded Basic lineup to the Digital platform. Granite City's community access channel is now 993. Notices regarding this change were included with Charter cable bills. You must have a digital converter box or a newer television that is digital-cable-ready (with a QAM tuner) to view channel 993. You can rent the converter box for $5/month from Charter by calling 888-432-2427 or by visiting the local office at 210 W Division St, Maryville, IL. If you currently have basic cable, renting the digital converter box will add approximately 10-15 channels to your lineup which includes all public, educational, and government access channels that were recently moved from analog to digital channels.
