EDUCATION: Bachelor of Music Degree in Education, 1976, SIUE Master of Music Therapy Degree, 2006, Maryville University

OCCUPATION: Music Therapist/Bereavement Specialist BJC Hospice –Alton Memorial Hospital Adjunct Faculty, School of Music and School of Music Therapy Maryville University

PREVIOUSLY HELD OFFICE: 2 Year appointed term, Alderman, Ward 3

WHAT QUALIFIES YOU FOR THIS POSITION? Thirty year resident in Ward 3. I have been an active preservationist in the historic and original residential area of Granite City. Restored one of Granite City’s historic and architecturally significant homes. (Built by the second mayor of Granite City in 1903).  I have served on two committees that surveyed historical significance and feasibility of restoration. I have been active in the community my entire working career with performing and creative arts.

JACK'S TOP ISSUES: 
     1.  The revitalization and development of the original downtown area of Granite City into an arts and entertainment district.
     2. The fulfillment of planned and proposed developments for this area and the continuation of further possibilities.
     3. The continuing efforts to improve and develop the aging infrastructure of Ward 3.

As Committee Chair of the Police Department, the completion of station improvements, updates, and technological updates and advancements.
