UPDATES FROM MAYOR ED HAGNAUER
On behalf of the City Council and myself, I would like to extend best wishes this holiday season to our businesses, residents and community leaders. This certainly has been a year of unprecedented challenges and changes for many of us. Regardless of the challenges, the City is focused on being thankful to the many businesses, residents and others that have worked to keep our community as safe as possible during this time. The City Council and I extend our deep appreciation to all the businesses in the community that have worked so hard and adapted to the changes and uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a community, we will continue to work together and support each other to keep our community safe and moving forward. While we cannot make up for the financial impact of the last year, the City has authorized $225,000 in CARES Act funding to support our local small businesses through a forgivable loan program. To date, the City has provided $135,000 to small business to pay for expenses related to the pandemic. With funds still available, I would encourage any small business to contact the City for additional information. Please enjoy this holiday season safely and with a renewed hope and optimism as our community moves forward together in 2021. Happy New Year!
